PRIME RESIDENTIAL SITE SOLD IN SOUTH MOLTON, DEVON

On behalf of Landowner Clients and working with marketing agents Greenslade Taylor Hunt, Ashville have disposed of a prime residential site in the popular town of South Molton, Devon.

The land, which extends to around 12.48 acres (5.05 hectares) and comprises three agricultural fields divided by hedgerow and planting, benefits from outline planning permission granted by North Devon Council in July 2018 for up to 144 homes (of which 30 (20.8%) will be affordable) following successful planning strategy implemented by Ashville with support from an assembled consultant team. As part of the permission, the site will provide much needing housing for the settlement as well as a package of financial support, which includes contributions towards local education and transport and an area of open space to benefit both existing and new residents to South Molton.  The scheme also forms part of a wider urban extension, which NDDC have shaped to provide a bypass road around the western boundary of the settlement in an effort to divert agricultural and HGV traffic from the market town centre and improve local amenity and safety.
