CHIPPENHAM
Ashville purchased this 3.2 acre Greenfield site with the benefit of an allocation for employment use. After working with the local council and appraising alternative uses as part of a wider strategy consultation, it was determined that a scheme of flexible business units would best suit the developing character of Methuen Park and the occupier demands of the catchment area.
Detailed consent was obtained in 2019 for a first phase (1.6 acres) to provide a scheme comprising 20 high quality small business units. The site construction has now concluded with Practical Completion taking place in May 2022. The scheme is providing much needed space in which local businesses can thrive and the local economy expand from, with units ranging from 1,360 to 3,005 sq ft and totalling 38,801 sq ft of accommodation overall. Ashville’s focus has been on quality, sustainability and provision of a positive working environment, with in house management of the planning, design and build of these units undertaken to ensure this.
Marketing of Ashville Court is underway with 70% of units now reserved, however there are still opportunities to occupy the site on site on either leasehold or freehold basis. The scheme provide another high quality development and well performing asset for Ashville’s investors and the scheme is now being proactively managed by Ashville’s in house team to ensure the standard of the estate remains at a premium. Occupiers will benefit from the new high standards and green credentials incorporated into this latest phase of development supporting initiatives such as solar PV and access to plug in charging points to suit modern occupational requirements.
