On behalf of a Landowner Client, Ashville development managed from initial conception through to consent of outline planning, the development strategy for securing consent on this greenfield land parcel for up to 144 dwellings and associated infrastructure with all matters reserved apart from access.
In order to provide an adequate access arrangement, it was necessary to bring the landholding forward in unison with the neighbouring smaller land parcel under the ownership of South Molton Town Council.
In order to facilitate such an arrangement, Ashville successfully negotiated a Promotion Agreement between the two landowners and as a result, the outline planning permission now granted by North Devon Council covers a total of approximately 12.5 acres.
In addition, the site now forms an allocation as part of a wider urban extension to the west of the existing settlement in adopted policy following a planning promotion drive with planning consultants engaged.
