HEREFEST 2018

Look out Emily Eavis – HEREfest has landed!

Not really a rival to Glastonbury, but a great time nevertheless, HERE held its first family fun day on Sunday 2 September.

Tenants, family, friends and the BS4 community gathered in the grounds of the Bath Road workspace to enjoy local DJs, a world of food and drink, craft stalls and a live graffiti demo.

The event hosted a range of free activities for younger visitors, including Total Wipeout and other outdoor games, henna tattooing, jar and face painting, and even rugby coaching from guys on the Bristol Bears team.

Organised by the asset managers, Ashville, and sponsored by [HERE], HEREfest was held in aid of Help Bristol’s Homeless, the charity that creates homes from cargo containers for rough sleepers. A raffle including bottles of gin from the Bristol Distilling Co. helped raise a total of £700 on the day. The event also provided another opportunity for the companies who occupy the building to meet each other, and for local people to get a closer look at a thriving, creative business hub right on their doorstep.

With Phase 1 of the refurbishment of HERE now fully let, and Phase 2 of the office scheme due to commence soon, it was also great way for the HERE team to let their hair down after a busy summer.
